The textbook outlines the basic concepts of the branch economy that are relevant in the implementation of investment projects in railway construction. The design stages and content of design and estimate documentation, the procedure for its development, the regulatory framework and the composition of the estimated cost of railway construction objects are reflected. The methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of investments and choosing design solutions is presented. The main issues of estimated rationing, planning and management are considered, theoretical foundations are given and examples of economic problems and tasks at the level of a construction organization are analyzed.
